Sections are also devoted to covering the treatment of children in the community, and the psychological effects of illness on both the child and their family. All chapters have been updated for this new edition, with completely overhauled chapters on neurology and respiratory medicine, the latest management guidelines on inherited metabolic disease, further information on medical and research ethics, and enhanced usage of diagnostic and treatment algorithms. With practical advice and space for personalized notes, this handbook will be invaluable to all those involved in the care of the younger patient.

Recenzii

Coming from the impressive pedigree of the Oxford Handbook series, I was very much looking forward to reviewing this book. I certainly was not disappointed as it is a superb review of the subject and can be worth its weight in gold.
Paediatric Staple: I love the Oxford Handbooks. I work in the NHS and this handbook is indispensable. There's something very reassuring about having an Oxford Handbook by your side in a new job. It's a really well-written book, covers all the major topics in paediatrics with sensible chapters including for emergencies. It's great for foundation and paediatric trainees alike.
Brilliant little book: "Just the right size to throw in a bag when I am out working. Has a wide variety of subjects but each one is explained within a couple of pages so easy to get the information quickly."
