Multidetector-Row CT Angiography: Medical Radiology

Cuvânt înainte de A.L. Baert Editat de Roberto Passariello
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 23 noi 2004
Multidetector-row CT has dramatically improved the results of computed tomography in all clinical applications, but its beneficial impact has been most striking in vascular imaging. The simplicity of acquisition and the wide availability of equipment make this modality especially suitable for routine clinical application. In this book the basic aspects of multidetector-row CT angiography are comprehensively reviewed. Individual chapters are included on technical principles, image processing techniques and contrast agent administration. All clinical applications are then discussed in depth, with lucid descriptions of the examination technique for particular clinical indications and of the findings that characterize specific diseases. Limitations and advantages in comparison with other imaging modalities are considered. A large number of high-quality black and white and color illustrations help to explain the clinical findings.

Recenzii

From the reviews:
"This 206-page textbook would be a valuable addition to the library of any radiology department currently using a multislice CT scanner or due to upgrade to one in the near future."
"The style of text is very readable and well organised."
"This is an excellent textbook and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone currently performing CT angiography or considering doing so."
[RAD Magazine, October, 2005]
"This textbook provides a comprehensive review of … MDCT angiography. … this work offers a complete, well-documented, and comprehensive presentation of this state-of-the-art technology … . The large number of illustrations (345) as well as their high quality must be underlined. The overall presentation of the book is very pleasant, clear and practical … and should be greatly appreciated. In conclusion, this up-to-date and well-illustrated work will be of great interest to radiologists and other physicians dealing with vascular imaging." (B. Grignon, Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy, Vol. 27 (4), 2005)
