Editat de Abigail Thrush, Kevin Martin, Peter Hoskins
en Limba Engleză Hardback – 23 mai 2019
This popular text provides a comprehensive, yet accessible, introduction to the physics and technology of medical ultrasound, with high quality ultrasound images and diagrams throughout. Covering all aspects of the field at a level that meetings the requirements of accredited sonography courses, it is ideal for both trainee and qualified healthcare professionals practising ultrasound in a clinical setting. Building on the content of previous editions, this third edition provides the latest guidance relating to ultrasound technology, quality assurance and safety and discusses the latest techniques.
Key Features:
  • Convenient and readable resource for students of clinical ultrasound and for those who teach them
  • Also suitable as an introductory text for physicists and engineers and those undertaking research in the area
  • Completely revised and updated, including new types of piezoelectric materials, whole-field of view imaging techniques, vector flow techniques, techniques to image small vessels, Ultrafast spectral Doppler and the latest on image optimization
  • End-of-chapter questions for self-testing and a comprehensive glossary
The highly-experienced editors and contributing authors are all authorities in their areas, with contributions to the scientific and professional development of ultrasound at national and international level.

Descriere

Descriere de la o altă ediție sau format:

The book provides an introduction to the physics and technology of medical ultrasound. The book is written with a clinical readership in mind. For the second edition the field had moved on quite a lot in the 7 years since the first edition. Consequently the second edition contained several new chapters (3D, contrast agents, elastography); the safety chapter had an extensive rewrite; there was more minor updating of other chapters. Technology has not moved on to the same extent in the 6 years since the second edition was submitted. The same chapter structure would still be used, with updates for each chapter.

Notă biografică
