Blood Is Thicker

en Limba Engleză Paperback
The re-edited first novel in The Gemini Borders Trilogy. Unexplainable murders on the Scottish Borders bring together three people of differing professions, whose lives become inexorably entwined. Barnham, the cross borders roving Detective Inspector, seconded from Newcastle and overseeing the killings; is commanded by his superior to seek assistance from Jessica, a psychologist and health fitness fanatic with a penchant for 'profiling'. And making up the trio is Emma, a lady of the night, found in the wrong place at the wrong time but who lives to tell the tale; being either as a suspect or a witness. The DI leads his team one step forwards and two steps back, and with his personal life clouding his professional judgment the threat of death is never far away. Expect the unexpected

Notă biografică

Toni Parks is the pseudonym of Tony Parkinson. Blood Is Thicker is my first attempt at writing, of any description, and at the ripe age of 61. The idea has been going round in my head for some time but work commitments with running my own business, meant it had to stay on the back burner indefinitely. A move to the Scottish Borders after retirement enabled me to put my fingers where my mouth was and begin to type away. Blood Is Thicker is the result. It certainly has shades of both light and dark and I'm hopeful that this contrast will make it an enjoyable read. My background is in Advertising but not specifically in the creative field. However, having been surrounded by copywriters and creative designers I hope that I have learnt at least some of their craft by osmosis and that my thriller could possibly stand alongside the Scandinavian authors, for whom I have the utmost admiration. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did when writing.
